Summary
An oz or so was given to me by a good friend. After 1 bowl. I was able to secure a 100 gram tin.
Pre bowl aroma - this tobacco smells like everything i remember pipe smoking to smell like as a kid. Its semi sweet. Mild hint of fruit. Not an over powering smelling tobacco.
This tobacco is cut rather heavy. I use a mild rub to break up a bowl before packing. My first bowl needed a few relights. After rubbing some out it burned flawlessly.
First light and draw is heavy classic Virginia flavor w a slight taste of latkia. Latkia can come off bitter to me. This doesn't carry that at all. Smooth retro hale pulls out a soft almost warm fresh baked sugar cookie taste. I kno.. i hate those descriptions. But its there.
This bowl burns flawlessly. Only relight twenty min in has been because i sat it down to collect my thoughts on the dry aroma. It is everything in a flavor and room note as i remember growing up smelling pipes. It stays consistent flavor all the way through a bowl.
Bottom line. Is this tobacco worth 75 plus dollars a tin? In my opinion yes. Every penny. If you're a tobacco lover...find some and smoke it. You wont regret it!
